These videos consist of real life situations which always take place between F (Foreigner) and J (Japanese).

There are four ways to view the video script. You can choose from either Japanese, Romaji (romanized Japanese), English or No Language Display

Easy-to-use player functions (Pause, Play, Volume etc.)

By the end of each Lesson you should be able to understand each video with No Language Display, and you are expected to act out the character roles by reducing the sound volume.

In addition to all the new words and phrases that appear in the Dialog, additional useful related words and phrases are provided.

You can click on every word to listen to its pronunciation. Listen and imitate.

Here you check your listening skill by listening to the audio and choosing right answers to questions to follow.
- Compare your own response to the sample answer(s) provided.
- Sample answers can be listened to, as well as they can be viewed in both Roman and Japanese writings.

You will have immediate feedback so that you can review each question.
- Here you will be given a situation you might encounter in Japan. Try to respond appropriately by speaking to the mike, making the best use of what you have learned so far.

Every time you see the
character, why not click on him. His name is Ninja-SUNtaro and he will provide you with some useful additional comments or some cultural information about Japan.

He will appear throughout the course.

After finishing 5 Lessons you will have a Review Quiz.

You can move on to view the next 5 Lessons only after you have completed the Review Quiz.

The Review Quiz consists of 3 sections:
(1) Listening Comprehension
(2) Grammar
(3) Speech Evaluation (optional)

If you opt to do Speech Evaluation, Japanese graders will evaluate your speaking skills and send the results back to you promptly.

At the end of each course you will be given a Mastery Test.

The Mastery Test consists of 3 sections:
(1) Listening Comprehension
(2) Grammar
(3) Speech Evaluation (compulsory)

When pass this test, a certificate of completion will be sent to you.
